Since its inception in 2012, Resident Research Day (RRD) has become a cornerstone event for GKCSHP because it highlights one of the most critical elements of our profession: research. Participating residents present plans for their longitudinal research projects and receive insightful feedback and ideas to increase project success from experienced preceptors and clinical pharmacists. The event typically occurs in mid/late September, giving residents time to make desired changes prior to the October submission requirement for ASHP’s Midyear Event.
Resident Research Day allows residents to present and receive feedback on the following:
Project purpose
Methods
Inclusion & exclusion criteria
Endpoints
Pertinent data collection points
Statistical plan
Perceived strengths & weaknesses
Anticipated impact
